In town 4/20 through 4/23 looking for another couple

Hi,

We are a fit couple staying off of Duval the above dates. We are coming down for a mental health weekend and are looking for another couple for fun and debauchery.

In town 4/20 through 4/23 looking for another couple

your post may indeed be quite innocent, but it made me think of the time Edith Bunker answered an ad in a newspaper from a friendly couple...she invited them over for dinner %26amp; they turned out to be ';swingers.'; It was one of the funniest ';All in the Family'; episodes ever.

In town 4/20 through 4/23 looking for another couple

Hey there GNR, we%26#39;re from Cleveland too. We%26#39;ll be arriving on the 20th staying through the 26th. What did you have in mind?

Hmmm...I just chased your posts and I%26#39;m now thinking that maybe you have something else in mind rather than what I had in mind.....We%26#39;re not into *that* kind of fun!

Hey guys! We are originaly from Cleveland also. Drop us a note. southernmostswingers at hotmail dot com

yes i know this will sound stupid but i`m going to ask anyway ... we`re coming to disney next easter staying near sea world ,is there somewhere near i will be able to buy easter eggs for the kids i`m not even sure if americans have chocolate eggs like us brits ????

    happy easter!!!

Are you kidding?? No one eats more chocolate than Americans...after all, we have Nestles and Hersheys to proove it. Get your Cadberry eggs fast though, they sell out almost everywhere!!

Every store around will have chocolate bunnies, eggs, candy, etc. All you need and more. The best prices will be found at Wal-Mart or Walgreens Pharmacy.

    Happy Hunting!!

    happy easter!!!

thanks thats that sorted!! on the easter subject do any of the disney parks do easter egg hunts??

only problem is there chocolate s*cks.

    Ads,

It%26#39;s all relative to what you are used to. When you grow up having nothing but Hershey and Nestle, you love it.

Personally, I prefer Dove brand chocolate eggs, as well as the Reese%26#39;s Peanut Butter Eggs. The Hershey%26#39;s chocolate seems a little grainy to me. You can also go to the specialty stores like Godiva and get good Easter candy. There is a Godiva store at Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia.

    Hey Fla4fun,

Don%26#39;t you know that Reese%26#39;s cups are made with Hershey chocolate? ;%26gt;)

Hey, when it comes down to it, I love all chocolate...no matter who makes it!!

    Housing for Students

    To contact us Click HERE

Our daughter and roommates are thinking of going to school in St. Augustine, what can we expect to pay for housing? Rent of buy? Any advice? Thanks for your help!!

    Housing for Students

Room and Board is included in Flagler College tuition fee - students can live in the dorms for

tuition. Rent in historic district (near college) run from $650. up a month plus utilities for a studio apt. Water is expensive here and most apts. are set up so the tenant pays for the water.

Houses can be rented and rent and utilities shared by students. Lincolnville you can rent houses for $950 and up (2 - 3 bedroom ) plus utilities.

Places on the island (not on the water) can be rented for the same amount, I would say.

Housing is not easy to find just for college

season, however. You would probably have to pay rent for the entire year even tho students won%26#39;t be here a full calendar year. Also what is available off campus goes fast; you almost have to call the same day to rent before someone else.

Living in town is the best especially if students don%26#39;t own cars.

If students have a car and don%26#39;t mind commuting 10 - 15 miles, I am sure there are places in the sticks for rent for less (mobile homes perhaps.)

    Housing for Students

There are loads of rental properties all over. Check St. Augustine South which is 4 miles south of town, not far at all really. If you%26#39;re actually thinking of buying, then by all means buy. It%26#39;s not going to do anything but go up in value.

    Provincial Gardens

    To contact us Click HERE

My husband and I are considering staying at Provincial Gardens. Any feedback from guests would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Provincial Gardens

I rented a direct waterfront unit at Provincial Gardens several years in a row. I found it to be absolutely delightful and would have returned again and again had our family not purchased condos on Sanibel Island.

Our unit (as stated) faced the small green lawn and dock and looked across the intercoastal waterway to the mainland. It was updated and very comfortable. We watched boat traffic passing by, ranging from beautiful sailboats to large commercial vessels. We saw dolphins and families of ducks. The grandchildren ';fished'; from the dock. I actually found this view more interesting than being right on the Gulf.

It is quite a walk to the beach; you have access through the Aloha Kai property across the street. You also have (at least at the time I was there) use of the Aloha Kai pool which is quite nice.

Again, our unit was directly on the water which had special advantages. Most are not, but they all appeared to be comfortable places...especially, perhaps, for longer term stays.

    Provincial Gardens

I noticed that the unit we rented is listed at www.vrbo.com #7580 If you look there, you will get a better idea of what to expect at Provincial Gardens.

Grandma, This is on my list of places to rent. $525 for the weeks we are going. How far is the beach from there? Also, since I dont know Siesta Key at all, does this put you at a good place on the beach?? Steph

    Hello, Steph:

Your access to the beach is through the Aloha Kai complex across the street. I%26#39;m not great at calculating distances, but I would say...maybe the equivalent of one city block through Provincial Gardens and a bit more than that through the Aloha Kai property...not too bad. You come out right on beautiful Crescent Beach with the great white quartz sand.

Are you considering renting the direct waterfront unit I mentined on VRBO.COM? We just loved it there...very peaceful lanai for relaxing and generously sized bedrooms. Hope you have a wonderful time on Siesta Key.

    Steph:

I read several of your other posts and made the assumption that your four children are likely all less than 10 years old (although, maybe not)

I appreciate that you are budget minded and interested in a longer vacation...(been there and done that in days gone by with 6 children of my own!) However, IF the children are all very young, you may want to check out VRBO #19004. I know the posted rate is almost double that of Provincial Gardens, but this unit is first floor at Siesta Dunes and just a few steps to their neat round pool that is a great place for beginning swimmers. Also, the grounds at Siesta Dunes are spacious and wonderful for little people to explore. Plus, there would be no crossing of the street involved...the complex is right on beautiful Crescent Beach.

The owner of this unit is a delightful lady...she may be willing to work with you on the rental fees since you are planning a longer stay. I am just remembering that there are certain things that make a vacation experience with small children easier on mom! Provincial Gardens will give you a lovely condo...Siesta Dunes may give you that plus a lot more convenience. Might be worth investigating!

    WOOPS! I meant vacationrentals.com #19004

YEs, at the time we go, one will be 5 and another 9... then while away, one turns 3 and one turns 8. So yes, all under 10 :). We only get one family vacation a year (due to hubbys business) so thats why the longer stays (2 weeks or 3 if we can swing it). We would like to be under $600 a week... which then we can do a 2 week stay, if $500 or less, then we can swing 3 weeks. The airfare is cheap, but we will need to rent a minivan... which will KILL us in cost thats why I am trying to save on lodging costs. I am open to any and all suggestions. I have set aside 10 places between VRBO and siest4rent that are within my budget. I only need a 1br as the kids hate sleeping alone so they always end up in one bed. So a queen sofa bed is great. So if you have anything in mind, I am sooo open to suggestions! ~Steph

One MAJOR suggestion I would make is to check breezenet.com every week for current rates on minivans and online specials. They list all major car rental companies. Once you have a pretty clear idea of the range of rates, go to priceline.com and place a bid that is at least 25 - 30% less than the least expensive rate. I have been using Priceline for the past 5 years and now have converted my grown children to using them as well. They will charge your credit card right away if your bid is accepted (start low...you can always increase the bid after a 2-3 day waiting period.) They use only major car companies with airport pickup. We have been given contracts by National and Avis using Priceline. Never a problem! That may give you some ';wiggle room'; in the budget....

I use priceline all the time :) Last year we did our rental car through them and I paid $102 for 8/18-8/23 Got a full size Impala! I will be using them for a minivan as well. Right now they are saying $35 is a good rate to bid for a minivan... we shall see! The impala fits 6 comfortably but my dad might be coming to stay with his friends in Venice... so we would have to get a minivan. I will look at breezenet.com though, thank you!

Grandma... hubby said today that he was disappointed I wasnt looking at beachfront places. I am the budget minded person and was trying to go cheap but he wants what he wants! So he said FIND a beachfront place :) I dont know what places are right on the beach (yes, he knows the price is going to go up!).. help! Steph

What can you tell me about Center Court's...Verde Suite...

    To contact us Click HERE

I%26#39;ll be in KW on for the weekend on April 21-23rd and was wondering about these properties. I want to be somewhat close to Duval, and it looks like these three Center Court places are really nice. Anyone know personally?

What can you tell me about Center Court's...Verde Suite...

My fiance and I stayed the ';Tropical Hideway'; (through Center Court) during our December %26#39;02 trip to Key West. It%26#39;s on the same property with the Pineapple Retreat %26amp; the Seaport Suite. I didn%26#39;t get to see inside the other 2 units, but I can vouch for the common grounds of the property and its location in Old Town.

The property is well maintained and in a quiet neighborhood. The pool is fairly large (by Key West standards) and since it%26#39;s only shared with 2 other units (one of which has its own private dipping pool) we never saw many people using it. The landscaping on the property was extensive, and it was very convenient to have complimentary laundry facilities onsite. The daily housekeeping service was a nice touch as well. Even on the days that we put out the ';no housekeeping necessary'; sign, they still were nice enough to leave fresh towels for us!

I wouldn%26#39;t classify the property as being ';close'; to Duval street. It was roughly 6-7 blocks away, which was about a 20 minute walk at a VERY leisurely pace for us. We never minded the walk - we felt more like locals by staying in a primarily residential setting, and it was a nice change of pace to adjust our walking routes to tour through the surrounding neighborhoods on our way to/from Duval.

If you want, you can use a online service like ';MapQuest'; to show you exactly how far it is from the property to Duval St. Use the intersection of Frances St %26amp; Eaton St as your starting point, and the intersection of Duval St %26amp; Eaton St as your ending point. That gives you a straight-shot distance to Duval St, with Mallory Square being a block or so away from that ending point.

I liked our location for being so close to the some of the more ';local'; hangouts AND one of our favorite lunch spots - B.O.%26#39;s Fish Wagon. The added benefit of being away from Duval was how peaceful our neighborhood was. We could leave our French doors open in the mornings and evenings and the only sounds coming in were the rustling of the leaves in the breeze %26amp; the birds chirping. Very relaxing!

A genuine choice – to “come out of her”

    To contact us Click HERE
From: Come out of her, My people...

The "Torah Made Flesh" told us on more than one occasion – and in more than one way – that we could not serve "two masters".  Shaul (Paul) took up the same theme, and added a bit more directly Torah-based midrash, when he observed that "you are his servant whom you submit yourself to obey" (Romans 6:16)

Given the current hype surrounding the "most important election EVER,"  (aren't they ALWAYS?) this may be a good time to review the issue of the "choice" again being presented to 'registered voters' as to which servant of the prince of this world they would rather have "rule over them".   All over the world, people have been deluded into thinking that "democracy"  (a form of government which was NEVER consistent with, for example, the Constitution for the united States, and which the Founders uniformly rejected and railed against) is something OTHER than "mob rule" or "mob-ocracy".  In the absence of legal protections against the inevitable (like the long-forgotten Bill of Rights), such a "demon-ocracy" generally degrades quickly into a state where 51%  of people exercise dictatorial control over the lives, liberty, and property of the other 49%.

I have written many times about the fact that, while Scripture cites several examples of things which look a bit like "popular votes" which nevertheless, shall we say, didn't work out so well…the converse is not true:  usually the masses seem to make the wrong choice, and reject Him.  The story of I Samuel in chapter 8 may be among the best examples, where the people of Israel told the prophet to "give us a king like all the other nations".   Scripture tells us (I Sam. 8:7) that YHVH even told the prophet to listen to them, "for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them."

In spite of additional warnings (which, by the way, sound a heck of a LOT like what Amerikans, and indeed the denizens of most slave states in the world, can see out their own windows) the people persisted.  And the king they got was Saul.

The "End of the Book" (Rev. 18:4) tells us as well that there will come a time when we are to "come out of her"  so as to NOT participate with the sins of "the Whore," and so that we do not, as a result, partake of the coming, and now-increasingly obvious, "plagues".   Other admonitions, like "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness," and even "touch not the unclean thing" make a similar point.

People are being fed a lie:  that to refuse to participate in a corrupt, unlawful, and unBiblical process somehow means one should not only have no right to complain (after all, the Freedom of Speech has ALREADY been revoked.  Just look at the so-called "free speech zones" set up well AWAY from the most recent RNC sham.  Not only was the only remaining alternative candidate muzzled and not permitted to speak, or even have his name placed in nomination — in SPITE of the "rules" — but elected delegates were unseated and coerced via the not-subtle threat of arrest and a nearby gulag especially set up for the purpose!)  The opposite is in fact true.  It is those who AGREE to abide by the outcome of a process they choose to participate in who must bear the consequences of their folly.  One could in fact say, as the Bible does, that people who should have known better, "have their reward."

While the Book of Job is perhaps one of the most difficult in all of Scripture for most people raised as Christians to understand, because it seems to demonstrate that YHVH, who created EVERYTHING, thus permitted "evil" as well as "good" — it also has some of the most poignant lessons for us today.  "For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me."  (Job 3:25)  In order for the choice to love and obey Him to be a real one, the alternative, too, must be a real choice.  Unless the choice to walk in rebellion to Him is genuine, a "choice" to follow Him is as meaningless and hollow as the "choice" facing Soviet citizens under Stalin, or post-Constitutional Amerikans.

Our "savior"  DID not, and will not, come from Washington, DC…or Shanghai…or Moscow, Brussels, London, or the Hague…in spite of what politicians, pundits, and the world's 'priests of another god' would like us to believe.

The Declaration of Independence asserts that lawful government rests on the "consent of the governed".   When the Founders served lawful notice to the world, and appealed to God as the "Supreme Judge of the world" that they would not submit to a "tyrant" who sought to reduce them to despotism — they literally withdrew their consent from that "other master" who was acting contrary to the Creator.

Wherever we live in the world, we face a similar choice today.  As the fiat economies based on the abomination of "dishonest weights and measures" collapse, and hunger, pestilence, and even famine, spread, the Rule of Law will continue to deteriorate.  The "jackboots" of a worldwide police state, already painfully obvious, will continue to advance as the move to a "mark" without which no one will be allowed to "buy or sell" accelerates.

Given a 'choice' in opposition to Him, and His Written Word, we must learn to say, "No!"  A choice between evils is no choice at all:
"You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice."  (Exodus 23:2)

The real choice was the one expressed by Joshua (24:15):
And if it seems evil to you to serve YHVH, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…
But as for me and my house, we will serve YHVH."

Should we fail to understand the choice before us, however, the warning from Samuel is just as poignant today as it was when He first proclaimed it:

"And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and YHVH will not hear you in that day!"

The time to 'come out of her' is while we still have a real choice to make!

The coming Mark of the Beast

RELATED STORY: The Mark of the Beast and Implantable RFID Chips

The planners of the coming New World Order grow bolder and bolder by the day, as you will see in this article on a promotional give-away from US candy maker Nestle. In the UK, the makers of Kit Kat and other candy bars are floating this promotion as a trial balloon to gauge people's real feelings on being tracked, and eventually being chipped.

The name of this new promotion is called "We Will Find You." The whole idea of it is to make you relax and feel comfortable with the idea of ultra-invasive microchips tracking your every move. There is an old adage that says this: "People will do almost anything for money". And the One World Government is betting that also applies to taking the coming Mark of the Beast.

From Daily Mail UK: It has an air of Big Brother about it. But this time you'll be delighted they're watching you.

Far from amusing you, this new promotion from Kit-Kat should send a cold, wet chill down your spine. This is nothing more than a trial balloon to see how people will react to being tracked, and eventually…chipped.

Chocolate giant Nestle has launched a new competition in the UK called 'We Will Find You' where they have placed tracking devices into six lucky wrappers.

Should you open one of them, the GPS will activate and send a signal through to the company's control room.

A team of 'commandos' will then be despatched in a helicopter to your exact location within 24 hours and deliver you a briefcase containing £10,000 in cash.

To promote the campaign, Nestle has put up around 3,000 posters and produced a TV advert.

The commercial says they will 'scramble a crack team of highly trained individuals' to locate the owner of the lucky chocolate.

Nestle Kit Kat Bar We Will Find You

Truth in advertising: Oh, they will find you, alright. You better believe it…

'They will board a helicopter, find the special bar and give the owner £10,000,' it adds.

According to Ad Week, Nestle believes the promotion 'will particularly appeal to men'.

The GPS chips will be embedded in the wrappers of KitKat 4 Finger, KitKat Chunky, Aero Peppermint Medium and Yorkie Milk chocolate bars. source – Daily Mail UK

    This Is Insanity!

    To contact us Click HERE
    From: Chuck Baldwin Live

I believe Albert Einstein is credited with saying, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Using that definition, it would appear that many of our so-called "conservative" friends are insane. Every four years, they accept a phony conservative Presidential candidate and expect somehow that they are going to achieve a different result. They never do. Either the phony conservative loses because he is virtually indistinguishable from his Democrat opponent (i.e., John McCain), or after being elected while campaigning as a true conservative, he governs as a big-government neocon, and the course of the country changes not one iota (i.e., George W. Bush). This election year is no exception.

The GOP has nominated a man who has governed as a big-government liberal in one of the most liberal (if not the most liberal) states in the union: Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts. Furthermore, on virtually every issue one can think of, Governor Romney has flip-flopped more often than a fish that just landed in the bottom of a boat. To get a feel for just how often Romney changes his positions, watch this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQwrB1vu74c&feature=related

If Mitt Romney has proven anything, it is that his word means absolutely nothing. Nothing! Romney is an opportunistic chameleon who will say anything or do anything to get elected. Yet, this is the man whom conservatives trumpet as the savior of America! Why? He is a Republican, and, therefore, he must be better than the Democrat. In short, Mitt Romney is the lesser of two evils. But is he really?

First, the short-sighted, narrow-minded thinking of party loyalists (Republican and Democrat) demonstrates what can only be regarded as a slave mentality. People who vote nothing but party label are in truth already slaves. They are slaves to an elitist establishment that uses the machinery of the two major parties (at the national level) to advance a diabolical globalist agenda. That's why it doesn't matter to a tinker's dam whether it's Bill Clinton or G.W. Bush–or Barack Obama or Mitt Romney–who is elected President: nothing changes the march towards globalism and oppression. At the top, both major parties are controlled by globalists.

For the sake of those who truly respect America's founders and the principles upon which this nation was founded, I would encourage readers to familiarize themselves with George Washington's Farewell Address. In my opinion, Washington's Farewell Address is the greatest political speech ever delivered in US history. It literally shaped the course and direction of the country for decades, perhaps even a century. It really was not until the Twentieth Century, when presidents such as Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt came along, that America started steering a course in direct opposition to the principles laid forth in Washington's Farewell Address. Since then, the vast majority of presidents, Republican and Democrat, have almost universally ignored the sagacity of Washington's Farewell Address, which is why nothing has changed regardless of which party gains the White House.

In his Farewell Address, George Washington said, "I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.

"This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

"Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

"It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

"There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume."

Notice that George Washington said the "spirit of party" has "baneful effects" upon the country; it is our "worst enemy"; it is a "frightful despotism"; it prevails on the "ruins of public liberty"; it "foments riot and insurrection"; it "opens the door to foreign influence and corruption"; people should "discourage and restrain it"; it "agitates… false alarms"; and, like a fire, if it is not quenched, it will "consume."

Are we not seeing, and have we not seen, the veracity of Washington's warnings? People who only see and vote for a party label are more responsible for the demise and deterioration of our liberties than any foreign enemy. For them to accept and support any candidate, as long as they wear the party label regardless how unethical, dishonest, duplicitous, and insensitive to constitutional government they might be, is what has brought America to the precipice of destruction over which she now teeters.

Second, how can a person who has succumbed to evil have the discernment to say which evil is greater? When people consciously surrender the spirit of virtue and integrity by deliberately supporting a candidate they know has a track record that is antithetical to the principles of liberty, how are they qualified to judge what is good and what is evil? By knowingly rejecting truth and a good conscience, they have already accepted the spirit of evil in their hearts. Such people are in no condition to make moral judgments regarding good and evil!

In fact, one could make a darn good argument (and many have) that a phony conservative Republican is a worse evil than a true liberal Democrat. I, for one, share that position. I think only the most biased historian would dare to say that the eight years of Bill Clinton were worse than the eight years of George W. Bush.

One reason why phony conservative Republicans are so dangerous to our liberties is because most conservatives, Christians, and constitutionalists refuse to resist and challenge a Republican President when he abandons the principles of constitutional government. Since he is a Republican, he gets a free pass.

At this juncture, I invite readers to watch the following summary of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney by Dr. Alan Keyes. Having received a Ph.D. from Harvard University and having served as Ambassador to the United Nations under President Ronald Reagan, Keyes is no slouch. Without a doubt, Alan Keyes has one of the sharpest minds and most articulate tongues in the entire country. Listen to his response to the question, "Will you support Mitt Romney?" See the video at:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R4KtYVF-74&feature=youtu.be

On virtually every salient issue, the differences between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are miniscule. They both supported TARP; they both supported Obama's economic stimulus package; they both supported so-called assault weapons bans and other gun control measures; they both supported the bailout of the auto industry; neither of them supports immediately balancing the federal budget; they both have a track record of being big spenders; they both fully support the Federal Reserve; they both oppose a full audit of the Fed; they are both supporters of universal health care; both men are showered with campaign contributions from Wall Street; neither of them wants to eliminate the IRS or the direct income tax; both men are on record as saying the TSA is doing a "great job"; they both supported the NDAA, including the indefinite detention of American citizens without due process of law; they both supported the renewal of the Patriot Act; they both support the "free trade" agenda of the global elite; they are both soft on illegal immigration; they both have a history of appointing liberal judges; they both believe the President has the authority to take the nation to war without the approval of Congress; and neither of them has any qualms about running up more public debt to the already gargantuan debt of 16 trillion dollars.

Tell me again why Romney is better than Obama!

There are even some party slaves who are so brazen as to suggest that if we do not vote for the phony conservative Mitt Romney it means that we are harming true conservatives at the local and State levels. This has to be one of the most ridiculous assertions I have ever heard! What these people don't understand (because they are themselves slaves to a political party) is that most honest constitutionalists vote for the PERSON, not the party. We recognize that parties are not going to make a difference; PEOPLE are going to make a difference!

Therefore, if I lived in the Houston, Texas, area, I would vote for Republican US House candidate Steve Stockman; and if I lived in the Nashville, Tennessee, area, I would vote for Democrat US Senate candidate Mark Clayton. And since I live in the Flathead Valley of Montana, I am supporting Republican State Representative candidate Timothy Baldwin (yes, he is my youngest son); and if he were running again, I would support former Constitution Party State House member Rick Jore.

If anything, Mitt Romney will have the most deleterious impact upon conservative Republican candidates around the country, as they will be thrust into the big-government shadow of their party's standard bearer. Republican landslides came in 1980 when a perceived strong conservative (Ronald Reagan) carried the GOP torch for President and in 1994 when the GOP promoted (but later failed to deliver) a strong conservative congressional agenda. It is when Republicans nominate known pseudo-conservatives, such as John McCain (and now Mitt Romney), that they fail to achieve sizeable victories nationwide. So, even if Romney wins, he will provide no coattails for his fellow Republicans around the country.

And by the way, neither will Obama provide any coattails for his fellow Democrats should he win. By continuing and expanding Bush's wars in the Middle East (among other things), Obama has turned off millions of independents and constitutionally-minded Democrats. It is literally an every-man-for-himself election year.

It's too bad that Ron Paul is not running as an Independent. It would be a tremendously interesting election if he were.

So, here we are again: conservatives keep doing the same thing over and over (supporting a pseudo-conservative for President) and keep expecting a different result. Einstein was right: this is insanity!

Question: "Did Jonah die while he was in the belly of the fish (Jonah 2)?"

Question: "Did Jonah die while he was in the belly of the fish (Jonah 2)?"

Answer: Those who accept the literal account of Jonah take one of two main views regarding what happened to Jonah during his time in the belly of the great fish (Jonah 2). One view holds that Jonah died and later returned to life. The second view holds that Jonah remained alive for three days in the belly of the great fish. Both views agree on a literal reading of the book of Jonah and affirm God's supernatural ability to rescue His prophet. The difference is whether to see Jonah 2:10 as a description of a weak and bedraggled Jonah or as a truly resurrected Jonah.

Those who argue that Jonah died and later rose again appeal to Jonah's prayer in Jonah 2:2: "From the depths of the grave I called for help." The use of Sheol, the Hebrew term for "the grave," could mean that Jonah actually died. Yet the words "the depths of the grave," seen as a poetic turn of phrase, could easily refer to an agonizing or horrifying experience.

There's another reason that some argue for Jonah's death and resurrection: Jesus said, "For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" (Matthew 12:40). The reasoning is that, since Jesus' death and resurrection were actual, then Jonah must have also actually died and later returned to life. However, Jesus' comparison does not mandate perfect congruency between the two events. Jonah's hopeless situation was illustrative of Jesus' death; Jonah's sudden appearance at Ninevah was illustrative of Jesus' resurrection. The three days was an additional similarity. Jonah returned from the edge of death; Jesus, who is greater than Jonah, returned from actual death. Analogies do not require absolute agreement in every detail.

The Bible does not explicitly state that Jonah died in the belly of the great fish. Those who theorize that he did die rely on inference and speculation. What is the evidence that Jonah stayed alive for the three days he spent in the belly of the great fish?

First, it is clear that Jonah prayed from inside the fish: "Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the belly of the fish" (Jonah 2:1). At the very least, Jonah lived long enough to offer his prayer.

Second, the language of Jonah's prayer is poetic in nature. Terms such as Sheol and the reference to "the pit" (Jonah 2:6) do not have to be interpreted so literally as to require physical death.

Did Jonah die in the fish, or was he alive the whole time? Either interpretation is possible, but the traditional understanding, that Jonah was alive for three days in the belly of a great fish, is more likely. Jonah, who everyone thought was a "goner," emerged from the murky depths to bring God's message of salvation to a lost and dying people. In so doing, he became a wonderful representation of Jesus' death, resurrection, and life-giving message.

Prophetic perspective of Israeli PM's UN speech "redlines" Islam

The prophetic underpinnings of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's UN speech were direct. The first 326 words put in perspective the prophetic history that the world often ignores, forgets, or belittles: "Three thousand years ago, King David reigned over the Jewish state in our eternal capital, Jerusalem. I say that to all those who proclaim that the Jewish state has no roots in our region and that it will soon disappear. Throughout our history, the Jewish people have overcome all the tyrants who have sought our destruction. It's their ideologies that have been discarded by history. The people of Israel live on. We say in Hebrew Am Yisrael Chai, and the Jewish state will live forever.

"The Jewish people have lived in the land of Israel for thousands of years. Even after most of our people were exiled from it, Jews continued to live in the land of Israel throughout the ages. The masses of our people never gave up the dream of returning to our ancient homeland. Defying the laws of history, we did just that. We ingathered the exiles, restored our independence and rebuilt our national life. The Jewish people have come home. We will never be uprooted again. Yesterday was Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. Every year, for over three millennia, we have come together on this day of reflection and atonement. We take stock of our past. We pray for our future.

"We remember the sorrows of our persecution; we remember the great travails of our dispersion; we mourn the extermination of a third of our people, six million, in the Holocaust. But at the end of Yom Kippur, we celebrate. We celebrate the rebirth of Israel. We celebrate the heroism of our young men and women who have defended our people with the indomitable courage of Joshua, David, and the Maccabees of old. We celebrate the marvel of the flourishing modern Jewish state. In Israel, we walk the same paths tread by our patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But we blaze new trails in science, technology, medicine, agriculture. In Israel, the past and the future find common ground."

As Netanyahu sees it, radical Islam wishes to end Israel. He said, "They are bent on world conquest. They want to destroy Israel, Europe, America. They want to extinguish freedom." While the occupant of the Oval Office uses esoteric phrases to justify Islam, the Israel Prime Minister exposes Islam. This represents two world views. The one where Islam doesn't really mean what it says verses the one where the actions of Islam are exposed in precisely meeting its rhetoric. Both men try to distinguish between radical Islam and Islam. This is political not practical. There is only one Qur'an, and it calls for the destruction of Christians and Jews. Men's words will soon give way to clear understanding of YHVH's truth as events unfold.

Netanyahu's speech inserts historic perspective in refuting the claims of Islam. The speech also framed the religious underpinnings, moreover to the discerning eye and ear, the prophetic. Amos 9:15, "I will plant them on their own soil, no more to be uprooted from their land, which I gave them," says YHVH." And Ezekiel 36:24, "For I will take you from among the nations, gather you from all the countries, and return you to your own soil." Historically and prophetically Islam has no claim to Israel as YHVH restores His people to the land which He gave them. The anti-christ religion, Islam, lays claim to what it is not entitled. This will not change. It will, however, escalate as we draw closer to fulfillment of end time prophecy

"Know Your Care Wisconsin" is an agitprop group, although one has to hit more than a couple of search entries to find out that little fact.

KYCW has a Facebook page which lists no directors nor officers.  So one looks for other affiliations.

    Bingo!!

Leon Burzynski is a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)

Bonnie Greasby is a retired American Federation of Teachers (AFT) member

Joanne Bruch was a member of and a staff representative for the International Union of Electronic Workers (IUE)

George McKinney was an employee of Unit Drop Forge Company in West Allis.  He has been an active member of the UAW for over 35 years

Darold "Dode" Lower has been actively involved in the labor movement since the 1970's when he was the Vice President of AFSCME Local 284 in Eau Claire

Worth knowing when you see stuff like this:

Know Your Care Wisconsin, based in Madison, travels the state to educate people about the law.“When you hear a politician say they are cutting benefits as a result of this, that is dishonest,” said Billy Feitlinger, executive director of the Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans. “If you expand the pool of the insured, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, it makes good business sense.

Among the more than two dozen American personnel evacuated from the city after the assault on the American mission and a nearby annex were about a dozen C.I.A. operatives and contractors, who played a crucial role in conducting surveillance and collecting information on an array of armed militant groups in and around the city.

We've noticed, but not really emphasized, that the (D) candidate for Senate from Taxachusetts is one E. Warren.

Ms. Warren, (D) flat-out lied about being "Native American" when she needed a job.  She parlayed that first job and her "Native American" status into a prof'ship at Harvard.

    Then the fun really began!!

Ms.Warren (D), using her Harvard Law office address, began representing Traveler's Insurance.

Unfortunately, Ms. Warren (D) does not have a license to practice law in Taxachusetts--any more than she has Native American blood.

But that's the way those (D) folks roll.  The famous "It's what I do" line was written about (D) politicians like Ms. Warren (D).

The union/lefty bunch which calls itself "Know Your Care Wisconsin" has a large problem:  the reality of ObozoCare.

...it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama's vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.

...premiums climbed faster in Obama's four years than they did in the previous four under President Bush, the survey data show.

    And that's just the beginning!

...the law piles on new coverage mandates. It requires insurance companies to provide 100% coverage for various types of preventive care, bans lifetime coverage limits, extends parents' coverage to offspring up to 26 years old, and requires plans to meet certain "medical loss ratios." Coming up are rules on "essential standard benefits," limits on deductibles, bans on annual spending caps, and much more.

Let's look again at the wisdom and sagacity of KYCW:

"If you expand the pool of the insured, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, it makes good business sense..."

BillyBob Feitler forgets the new mandates, I guess.

A panel is examining whether Wisconsin motorists should pay fees based on how many miles they drive.

The mileage-based fee - which would be the first such charge in the nation - would be levied in addition to gas taxes and vehicle registration fees, Transportation Secretary Mark Gottlieb said.

It would be based on drivers reporting their odometer readings to the state...

How can the poor Roadbuilders and Tranny Department folks survive on the starvation diet here?

Assuming those revenue sources and federal aid stay at existing levels, the state Department of Transportation projects it will have $26.8 billion available to spend over the next 10 years.

That's $2.68 BILLION PER YEAR, folks.  Not exactly Moochie Meals diet, is it?

But commission members estimated last week that would be $8.7 billion short of what is needed to maintain existing transportation facilities and complete projects the state is already committed to carrying out, Gottlieb said. State highways alone account for about $6 billion of that shortfall...

We have yet to be informed of the "needs".  It's entirely possible that "wants" are listed as "needs."

PNS Airport - what to expect?

Questions on what to expect when I land....

ITS MY 1st time flying to here in May,

for my trek to Panama City Beach...

Not checking bags on flights no more so I walkin right out,

Can I expect to be shuttled to car rental offsite(National)?

What kind of drive is it to get to route 98 ???

Any advise of shortcuts out of town

or websites to check the area out?

Thanks - will be landing around 6pm Seafood or steaks will do, chain restaurants (non fast food) along the way out of town toward the shore?

    THanks in advance !!!!

PNS Airport - what to expect?

It is over 2 hours driving very fast to PCB.

The on ramp to the highway is confusing. Take a left out the airport, not a right.

About 10 minutes from the airpoart went to Maggie Magees. Food was good. Drinks were better.

PNS Airport - what to expect?

Thanks Cara - didja get my reply about the NH pizza? ...

Yeah - landing on a Saturday - the one that begins the Memorial holiday weekend at about 6pm

    Last year,

Getting to Panama City Beach was really ... fun... prices are %26#39;sky high%26#39; to fly into PC airport so we landed and drove from Atlanta airport !!!... this ride was indeed long, seemed longer the closer we got.. I filled up the car when we got to Lynn Haven , it cost 33 bucks. I think we paid 2.85 a gallon

.... at times it was only a 2 lane highway in Alabama with construction in some spots to widen route 431between Dothan and Eufaula back to Phenix City .. it was nice as a one time trek , but doubtful doing that again

THIS YEAR, prices to fly to PC airport are even higher

    - SO we%26#39;re trying this Itenerary that connects from Atlanta, then driving 2+ hrs drive to PCB from PENS - should seem like CAKE compared to the 5 hours from ATL

.. but I betcha it will seem like it will take ALL night b/c I know we%26#39;re stopping at least 2 times.

..I gotta hit Cash%26#39;s discount liquors in Destin ... and of course dinner right after we land somewhere -

THANKS for the suggestion on the eatery - maybe to keep things moving we%26#39;ll do a buy-n-ride meal~ ...gotta get to that RESORT !!

    Thanks

    weather in April

Planning a trip for the middle of April. What is the weather like and can I go swimming at the beach. Thinking of staying at Lido Beach resort

    weather in April

If the breeze isn%26#39;t too strong, and it is sunny, it will be nice tanning weather. Once you get past the first plunge into the water you%26#39;ll be okay.

    weather in April

Mid-April will definitely be warm enough for a swim, although the water willl still be chilly - probably water temp of low to mid 70s. By mid-April, the air temp will be in the 80s and if you sit in the sun for a few minutes, you%26#39;ll definitely feel like going for a swim.

    Enjoy your visit!

The Lido Beach Resort is a great place to stay!

My wife and I are both in our early 50%26#39;s and planning our 1st cruise. We would like to go with a similar age group for a 3-5 night cruise.Destination isn%26#39;t really important, but we would like to leave from the east coast of Florida.Any suggestions?

    First Time Cruiser

Go to the website www.cruisecritic.com It is full of reviews of the various lines and ships and includes info about the typical age group that is usually on each ship- for instance most Holland America ships attract an older crowd and have activities/cuisine geared toward them , while the carnival ships generally have a younger crowd and try to have a more';fun ship'; party image. Reading traveler reviews of the various ships will probably help you zero in on a few that would best suit you. You can also frequently find sales advertised by sites specializing in discount cruises and if you follow the link and sign up with them they will send you countless offers via e-mail .

That%26#39;s how I would start. I guess your choices for embarkation ports wouldbe Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Port Canaveral and a few that leave from Jacksonville.

    First Time Cruiser

There are cruises that leave from Miami, Port Canaveral %26amp; Fort Lauderdale, I believe.

I am taking a 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise on the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canaveral.

Cruise Critic web site does have nice reviews of the different cruise lines, and each cruise line has elaborate web sites with tons of info. Look and see if you like the style of any things that you find on-line.

Also, this is one area that I would say a travel agent is your best bet for cruise info- there is a ton of info out there!

Take a look at the Majesty of the Seas sailing from Miami. They are 3 or 4 night cruises. The ship has just been refurbished.

    or

Look at the Enchantment of the Seas 4 or 5 night cruises sailing from Ft. Lauderdale. She was recently cut in half, lengthened, and refitted.

We have cruised on both. They are both great. You will be treated like royalty and I think it is a pretty good value.

They are both Royal Carribbean Cruise line ships. You can look at their web site and book directly there.

There is a nice mix of age groups on Royal Caribbean. You will fit right in. it is a nice ,fun, upscale, non stuffy getaway.

The cruisecritic.com message boards are an excellent resource for first time cruisers.

Whats cruise ports are nearer to Disney area? Fort lauderdale, Miami or Port Canaveral? Whats the distances for all 3 - many thanks

You can also get a cruise heading out of Tampa ...

and there is actually a cruise forum here on TA :

    tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g1-i10703-Cruises.鈥?/a>

    have fun planning!

    Lara

disney world to port canavral=68 miles

    to port everglades(Ft. Lauderdale)=215 miles

to port of Miami= 234 miles

    many thanks Donato !

i was wondering if anyone has heard good (hopefully) or bad things about the helmsley sandcastle. my wife two kids and self will be staying there for two nights in april while we wait for our condo rental. any reviews will be appreciated.

    helmsley sandcastle

We stayed there last March with our 2 kids as well. The rooms are old and need updating. However, the beach and pools are great, and the restaurant is good. Generally, a pleasant place to stay. Check out South Lido Park down the street - it is very nice, too. If you have any further questions, let me know!

    helmsley sandcastle

    Hi Allan55,

I work at the Sandcastle and have for going on 20 years. Most employees here have been here forever. Yes, the rooms are older because the property was built in the 1960s. But we have a great program here of ongoing renovations as needed and if for any reason you aren%26#39;t satisfied the staff will bend over backwards to ensure that you enjoy your stay. We have 2 pools, 2 restaurants, great recreation, gift shop, exercise room, pool bar, lounge and have complimentary transportation to and from St. Armands Circle.

If you would like to email me you can do so at mmcclure@helmsleyhotels.com, I would be happy to answer any questions you have. I realize I am a bit biased but if I didn%26#39;t work here this is the type of place I would want to spend my vacations!

thank-you for the information. i am glad to here that the hotel is nice .we will only be staying two nights, then off to siesta key, the last few years we have been unhappy with the choices we made. hopefully we have found a nice place for the couple of nights that we need every year. thanks again.

The Helmsley Sandcastle may be old and in need of rennovation, but the value and location cannot be beat. Walking distance to St. Armands Circle (where you will spend each evening either for drinks or dessert) and beaches is great. I%26#39;ve stayed there 5 years ago, and will go again as soon as I can get back to paradise: Sarasota.

Good comment by Mary Mac, and it rings true. We had friends stay at Helmsley last month and, while they repeated the ';dated facility'; comments of others, they also strongly echoed how terrific the staff is. For your two nights in April, it should be just fine.

i can only speak for myself but we absolutely love the helmsley we have been twice for our holiday from England it was exactly what we expected we didnt want the hilton or similar hotel but a small friendly hotel, great pools, location fab and the staff we couldln%26#39;t fault we have recommended to lots of friends who have enjoyed it as much as we have, we will be returning this september to relax following a busy year planning our daughter%26#39;s wedding 2 days previous so we will do what we have done before just RELAX!!!, the restaurant is very good and they will cook anything for you if you have specific needs, we cant fault it.
